From 1 March 2012, WatersEdge will close its doors after 27 years of operation at Pier One in Walsh Bay. The venue closure is due to the conclusion of its lease contract and will be moving to a new location, yet to be announced.

The Drivas family founded Dockside Group with the opening of WatersEdge Restaurant at Pier One, Walsh Bay in 1986. WatersEdge transformed from a seafood restaurant to a quality venue in 1993 and fast became the most admired wedding venue in Sydney, winning the ABIA Best Wedding Venue in 1994 and 1995 and many more ABIA accolades in its lifetime.

Dockside Group has seven other Sydney waterfront venues and restaurants: L’Aqua, Dockside, Star room, Waterfront, Wolfies, Italian Village and EAT LOVE PIZZA. Each of the restaurants and venues offer unique and versatile function spaces, both indoor and outdoor for weddings, conferences, gala dinners, cocktail parties, product launches and trade shows, breakfast meetings or business lunches.
